Brela is located above the village of Kricak where you can sample various culinary specialties of Dalmatia. The most famous beach of Brela is Punta Rata beach waving a blue flag, a symbol of cleanliness of the beach and the quality of the sea. On this beach is the famous rock emerging from the sea.
Brela is known for the cultivation of grapes and the production of black cherry “Maraska” on the steep terrain in the form of terraces. Above the village of Skrabici is an ancient castle where were discovered different types of pottery, parts of epitaphs, pottery and coins of the Roman period in Soline. On the Biokovo mountain range, above Brela, lies the castle of Herceg.
