The peninsula of Peljesac is the second largest in Croatia and it is situated in the south of Dalmatia. Pelješac extends from Ston to the tip of Loviste. The peninsula is 65 km long and 6 km wide.

Much of the Peljesac peninsula is covered with olive groves and vineyards. Famous are the Peljesac wines of which the best known is the Dingač. Beautiful are the sandy and bebbled beaches of Prapratno, Vodice, Duba, Trstenica, Dingac, Mirice, etc. Ston is famous for oyster production. Among the most popular places of the peninsula of Peljesac are Ston, Brijest, Trpanj, Viganj and Orebic.
