Pláž Stari grad – Monte

On the west side of the Old Town Rovinj is situated the Monte beach. Although the beach is about 150 meters long, the locals divided it into several parts. The Big and Small Gugulijera are small beaches, suitable for small children to swim, while Baluota (or Balota) and Lanterna are beaches which adults prefer (you can go into the sea water by climbing down or diving from the rocks). The beaches are rocky, with no natural shade, motor vehicle traffic is forbidden in the Old Town, which means you will have to get to this beach by foot or by bicycle.

The whole Lone Bay is an area that belongs to the protected Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape) park forest . The pebbly beach is located near other smaller rocky beaches. The beach is suitable for children since only few metres from the coastline you can look for some shades. In the vicinity there are two bars and a station where you can rent sport equipmento such as boats, windsurf boards and so on. The center of the town is only 15 minutes away on foot.

Villas Rubin Beach is places within the tourist resort Villas Rubin. The resort is 3 km away from the town center and it extents for 1,5 km along the coastline. The beach is mostly gravel and it was awared the Blue Flag . On the beach there are many services like showers and dressing rooms. In the vicinity there is a a children's playground and a restaurant , and a couple of meters away you will find the cafe bar and a complex of sports grounds where you can play tennis, basketball, indoor football, table tennis, mini golf. Here at Villas Rubin Beach you can find a diving center where diving courses and excursions in the undersea are offered. One part of the beach is arranged for people with disabilities. In addition to this, there is a Baywatch who keeps an eye on all the swimmers. Next to the beach with the Blue Flag there is a swimming pool and a slide. Near the pool, a few meters from the sea, there is a beach volleyball ground. A little further away, starts the stony coast and this area is frequented by nudist.

One of the most beautiful beaches is located in a place called Amarin, 3 km northern from the center of Rovinj. The beach extents along the coast and offers many possibilities for swimming, from those nice pebbly, to the rocky and paved beaches, where everyone can find their place. The beach Amarin is awarded with a Blue flag, which is a symbol of high quality and service. Here you can rent deck-chairs, sunshades, pedal boats, scooters and sailboards. Above the beach is placed a famous tourist settlement and a camp Amarin, where you can choose among many restaurants, bars, different shops and outdoor pool. The beach Amarin, because of its accessible enter to the sea is a great choice for kids and older people, but at the same time for young people who can enjoy many different activities and have fun with a rich night entertaining program.
