Vrboska is the smallest town on the island of Hvar. Vrboska is hidden in a cove surrounded by pine trees. Typical are its narrow streets and small islands that are located in the center of the bay connected by bridges. That's why Vrboska bears the name of "Little Venice".

In Vrboska ypu can visit the Fisheries Museum which includes a collection of fishing gear , fishing nets , various tools and equipment used in the former fish factory . Here you can relive the life of the ancient inhabitants of Vrboska. The most famous monument is the Fortress of St. Mary of Mercy of the XVI century, built as a defense against the Turks. On the west side, you will find the baroque church of St. Lovrinac. The church inside contains paintings attributed to Tiziano Vecelio, Paolo Cagliari called Veronese, Jacopo de Ponte, Bassano , Giuseppe Al abardi , Antonio Scuria and Tiziano Aspetti.
Vrboska is famous for its pebble beaches and sand beaches lapped by crystal blue sea. Famous is the naturist beach of Zecevo. Near the beaches are private apartments , hotels, restaurants , camping , shopping, etc. In Vrboska we advise you to taste the dishes of fish, olive oil , different aromatic spices and of course great wine glasses typical of the island of Hvar.
